Instructions for Accepted Authors
Authors of accepted papers are requested to prepare their camera-ready manuscripts in accordance with Springer’s requirements for proceedings papers in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
Please read the information below carefully before submitting your final files.
Important: Author names, affiliations, and corresponding author details must be final and correct in the camera-ready version. Springer does not permit authorship changes once files have been delivered for production.
Springer Author Instructions and Templates
Camera-ready papers must be prepared using Springer’s official proceedings templates. Authors may use either the LaTeX or Microsoft Word templates provided by Springer.
Please consult the Springer instructions for authors of proceedings
papers:
Springer Instructions for Authors of Proceedings
The LaTeX and Word templates for LNCS proceedings are available from the Springer author guidelines page linked above.
Papers should be prepared in English and should follow the required Springer formatting. Please do not modify the LNCS style files or template structure.
Preparing the Camera-Ready Paper
Please ensure that your final paper is complete and ready for production before submission. In particular:
- Use the official Springer LNCS LaTeX or Word template.
- Check that the title, author names, affiliations, and email addresses are correct.
- Clearly identify one corresponding author in the paper.
- Ensure that figures, tables, and equations are clear and editable where required.
- Check that references are complete and correctly formatted.
- Make sure the final PDF matches the submitted source files exactly.
Springer strongly encourages authors to include email addresses for all authors. The corresponding author’s email address is mandatory.
Authors may also include ORCID identifiers in the paper header using the Springer templates.
Files to Submit
Authors should submit the following materials for the camera-ready version:
- Final source files for the paper
- All associated figures, bibliography files, and source material
- A final PDF corresponding exactly to the source files
- A signed copyright form
For LaTeX submissions, please include all files required to compile
the paper, including bibliography files such as .bib or
.bbl, as applicable.
Please avoid submitting outdated, redundant, or incomplete source files.
Code of Conduct and Publishing Standards
Authors are expected to ensure that their submissions comply with Springer Nature’s publishing standards and Code of Conduct.
Please review the Springer Nature Book Authors’ Code of Conduct:
Springer Nature Book Authors’ Code of Conduct
Authors should ensure that their work has been carried out and reported in line with responsible research and publication standards.
Copyright / License to Publish
A signed and completed Springer copyright form must be submitted for each accepted paper as soon as possible.
The corresponding author should sign the license-to-publish agreement on behalf of all authors of the paper.
Important: Digital signatures are not accepted by Springer for the license-to-publish agreement. Please ensure the form is signed by hand.
The Springer copyright form is available here:
Download Springer Copyright Form
If your paper involves special copyright arrangements, such as government or Crown copyright, please address this as early as possible.
Corresponding Author and Proof Checking
Each paper should clearly identify one corresponding author. The corresponding author is responsible for checking the final proof and signing the license-to-publish agreement on behalf of all authors.
Once Springer has processed the paper, the corresponding author may be sent a final PDF for proof checking. At that stage, only typesetting or conversion errors can usually be corrected.
Important: Please ensure that the corresponding author is available after submission. Springer’s proof correction window is usually short.
Changes in scientific content, new results, title changes, or authorship changes are generally not possible at the proof stage.
Additional Paper Information
Please ensure that any acknowledgments, appendices, and declarations are included in their proper places in the final manuscript.
Springer now requires authors to declare any competing interests, or to explicitly state that no competing interests exist, in the paper.
If your paper includes supplementary material or videos, these should be approved in advance and submitted together with the final files.
